Solusec is now an IASME Certification Body for Cyber Essentials, IASME Cyber Assurance and Defence Cyber Certification Level 0. Here is what that changes for anyone getting certified.

What a Certification Body actually is

A Certification Body is appointed by IASME, the NCSC's delivery partner, to assess applications and issue certificates directly. That is different from a reseller, who takes your money and passes your application to someone else, and different from a consultant, who helps you prepare but cannot certify you. As a Certification Body, we do the assessment and issue the certificate ourselves.

What we can now certify

We are appointed for Cyber Essentials, IASME Cyber Assurance and Defence Cyber Certification Level 0. We are also Cyber Essentials Plus certified ourselves, with CE Plus assessment for clients from late October 2026. In short, we can take a business from the baseline all the way up, under one roof.

Why it matters who you certify with

Certifying directly with the body that does the assessment means no reseller in the middle, no markup, and no handoffs. It also means one senior person is accountable from your first question to your certificate. And because we run the assessment, we can tell you plainly where you stand and what to fix, rather than relaying messages back and forth.

One provider for the whole ladder

Most businesses do not just need one certificate once. They need Cyber Essentials, then often Cyber Essentials Plus, sometimes IASME Cyber Assurance, and, for defence suppliers, Defence Cyber Certification. Having all of that from one Certification Body removes the juggling, keeps your renewals aligned, and means you are always dealing with people who already know your setup.
